The Big Boys want to charge us to stay on the net . Stop Em Now

Probably the best explanation of Net Neutrality that I've seen so far. The greed of large corporations seems like it'll never end.

One thing that they didn't touch on directly was that they will be able to completely block the flow of information from one network to another if they so choose, which essentially means that websites could potentially be blocked if hosted on servers that connect from networks that don't pay for access to the big boys pipes.

Yeah, this is definitely scary.

This sort of stuff threatens AValive as well as other local companies like Akira Media and Impulse Web Solutions. All three depend on the web for information, business and commerce.

If this thing goes through in a bad way, our very jobs could be at risk.

Especially in the web design business, where a lot of the business is local. But if locals can't afford to pay big premiums for websites, they'll stop calling.
